Something is wrong with the way one gets on the list for question period at Delta council's weekly meeting.
On June 10, I planned to address council on the lack of activity of the Delta Seniors Advisory Committee chaired by Mayor Lois Jackson. As advised on the website, I went to register at municipal hall promptly at 3 o'clock, but was informed the list was full even though there was no one else there.
I understand after reading the Optimist that I was pre-empted by opponents of the Marina Gardens proposal.
They had phoned in their registration. Not fair.
I was put on the list for June 17. I spoke my piece to council but, of course, the committee chair had gone to Europe to look at ports.
If council has rules, they should be enforced for everyone.
