Glaring need for crossing with greater capacity

Simply, there are too many feeds into the major highway that passes through it. I did not need the horrendous tie-up, which took over an hour to drive at a crawl from the Bridgeport turnoff to the first exit leaving the tunnel, to show the need for a crossing of far greater capacity.

As a pedestrian, cyclist and motorist, it's also noted there is probably no bridge in the Lower Mainland that a pedestrian or cyclist may not freely cross. To traverse this tunnel two cyclists only may carry their bikes on a bus with payment for two zones, or a few more may use the free hourly bike shuttle with its quite limited schedule.

In a major disaster, this tunnel may well become a big part of it. It's clearly a crucible for missed flights, missed appointments, road rage and subsequent accidents and incidents attributed to that condition.
