Re: Plan for Tsawwassen Town Centre (Optimist, letters, Dec. 14)
I agree with Ivor Hewitt in his recent letter…I am pretty sure that a strong majority of our population does not want 17 to 21 storey buildings in the centre of town.
I am in favour of modernizing the town centre, including with underground parking. Above ground we should have something that is consistent with the rest of South Delta: low buildings (perhaps three storeys), not something that blocks the view and changes the entire surrounding infrastructure.
I don’t think we should consider anything like a Metrotown in Tsawwassen.
