Editor: The renovations of the Ladner Leisure Centre are almost completed and looking quite good.
Unfortunately, once again, there is writing on the side of the building that states: "Training Facility of the Vancouver Giants." The lacrosse community continues to be totally forgotten about.
The Corporation of Delta was reminded after it put up the first sign that the Ladner Pioneers senior lacrosse team was not once but two-time winners of the President's Cup national lacrosse tournament.
I feel that if the Giants can get their team name up on the building, then the Pioneers' name should also be displayed. The Pioneers have been playing in this rink since 1977 and the Ladner Leisure Centre is supposed to be the "Home of Delta Lacrosse."
