Union leader should set example

Editor: Why is B.C. Teachers' Federation president Jim Iker urging teachers, who don't get paid while on strike, to continue job action? It's easy for Iker to do so since he most likely is getting paid his six-figure salary regardless.

Unions are supposed to stand for fairness and equality, so Iker should share his high pay with striking teachers and join them on the picket line. I guess when it comes to his own pocket, this union preaching does not apply.
