Delta Pacers are headed back to the final of the Fraser Valley “AAA” Boys Volleyball Championships for the second straight year.

The province’s seventh ranked team rolled to impress straight set home floor wins this week over Port Moody (25-20, 25-8, 25-12) and Seaquam (25-20, 25-13, 25-19). The Pacers will now head to South Surrey Friday night to take on the No.1 ranked Earl Marriott Mariners in the championship match at 7:30 p.m.

They will be looking to duplicate their upset win of a year ago that produced the Ladner school’s first Valley title in 19 years. A recent meeting in league play saw the Mariners prevail 3-0.

The Pacers are already assured of berth in the B.C. “AAA” Championships — Nov. 28 to Dec. 1 — at the Langley Events Centre.

Meanwhile, the Fraser Valley “AAAA” Girls Championships are taking place in Tsawwassen with a key game tonight for the host South Delta Sun Devils.

The tournament’s sixth seed will take on the No. 3 Riverside Rapids in quarter-final action at 6 p.m. The winner will play in the semi-finals at 7:30 p.m. against No. 2 Lord Tweedsmuir or No. 7 Terry Fox.

The Sun Devils advanced to the final eight with a straight set (25-16, 25-13, 25-16) round of 16 win over Centennial on Wednesday night.

The tournament wraps up on Friday with placement games and the final at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
