Point Roberts native Lukas Svejkovsky has been included in NHL Central Scouting Bureau’s Mid-Season Rankings for the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

The 18-year-old forward is listed 195th among North American Skaters. The 2020 NHL Entry Draft takes place June 26-27 in Montreal.

Last month, Svejkovsky was traded by the Vancouver Giants to the Medicine Hat Tigers where he has produced 10 points in 14 games, including seven goals.

His path to junior hockey included time in the former Seafair Minor Hockey Association where his father — former NHL defenceman Yogi Svejkovsky — was their longtime skills coach.

Lukas then played for the Delta Hockey Academy’s Bantam Prep and Elite 15 teams before joining the Wenatchee Wild of the BC Hockey League.

He went on to sign with the Giants after being their second round pick in the WHL Bantam Draft.
