Here’s a throwback showing one of Ladner’s first public elementary schools. The above photos from 1897 show the school building with teachers and students standing at the front entrance of the schoolhouse.

Let’s go back to the 1930s Delta Street. This photo from the Delta Archives was taken in front of the Ladner Meat Market next to Granny Wilson's house. The meat market business was located there from 1913 to 1942.

Let’s do throwback tonight. The above photo from 1939 shows Ladner Lacrosse Team player Owen Swan taking a break after a game with his dog by his side.

It was the year the U.S. entered the Vietnam War, John F Kennedy won the U.S. presidential election and Chubby Chequer and The Twist started a new dance craze.

It was a terrific citizens’ initiative in Delta. These throwback photos from the early 1950s show residents fundraising to create Annieville Park. The Annieville and District Playground Association purchased an eight-acre parcel of land in 1949.
