Fundraiser to include surprise announcement

Benediction Lutheran Church is planning a special event later this month to celebrate its 50th anniversary, and the community is invited to share in the festivities. On Sunday, Jan. 31, the church will host its regular 9 a.m. service.

It is a Tuesday afternoon in Rosemary Harris' Grade 3 class at Hawthorne Elementary in Ladner. Each student is equipped with a laptop or tablet, but instead of being students, they are teachers.
