South Delta Secondary is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a special event next month.

Delta South MLA Vicki Huntington presented KidSport Delta with $4,000 earlier this month on behalf of the provincial government to help kids take part in sports.

The Ladner Business Association is hosting its annual Easter festivities in Ladner Village this Sunday. Children and families are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons, strollers and scooters to take part in this year's parade.

The Beach Grove Golf Club is now accepting entries for the Envision Financial Men's Beach Grove Amateur Championship to benefit the South Delta Food Bank. The tournament takes place Aug. 23 and 24.

Journey involves humanitarian work and sightseeing

The Delta Youth Support Link Society is upping its bursary offerings in a big way this year. The local charitable organization will be giving out $26,000 in bursaries this June to local students graduating from high school.
