Let’s head back to 1970 when an article ran in the Optimist about one of the most popular church groups for teenage boys in South Delta.
The South Delta Baptist Church “Brigade Group” met every Monday evening, holding a full program of activities.
Their program included sports and other outdoor activities, and perhaps the most popular was their weekend camp-out held at Harrison Lake under adult supervision.
