A "party dance" is planned for Friday at KinVillage in Tsawwassen.
"The music will appeal to all styles of dancing, be it social or ballroom," said Dorothy Robb, who along with Shari Boyce is co-ordinating the event.
"We want to show the community what a great facility KinVillage is with its beautiful sprung dance floor and room for everyone to dance," said Robb. "We plan on a variety of CD music from the '50s, '60s and '70s, including jive, cha-cha, waltz and much more."
The doors open at 7: 30 p.m. and dancing is from 8 to 11: 30 p.m. The premises are licensed.
"Dress is optional but glitzy glamour is definitely in," said Boyce. "After all, it is a party."
Tickets are $8 for members and $10 for non-members and the price includes mid-evening coffee or tea and dessert. Tickets are available at KinVillage or by phone at 604-943-0225.
"We are confident this will be a great evening and that we can hold an event like this once a month," said Robb.
KinVillage is located at 5430-10th Ave.
