Little House's Jim Stimson given Diamond Jubilee Medal by MP

Jim Stimson, the driving force behind the rebuilding of the Little House and establishment of the Little House Society, received a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal from Delta-Richmond East MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay earlier this month. The medal, which marks Queen Elizabeth's 60th anniversary on the throne, is being given to 60,000 community leaders across Canada. Findlay gave out medals to deserving citizens in September, but Stimson was unable to attend that ceremony. Findlay said the medal not only recognized Stimson's 40-year career helping individuals, families, employers and unions deal with addiction, but also his more recent efforts to set up the Little House Society.
