The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Monday, Aug. 8 and Sunday, Aug. 14. TSAWWASSEN August 10, 1 p.m., 700-block 53rd Street: Bicycle stolen from the secondary school.

The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Monday, Aug. 8 and Sunday, Aug. 14.

TSAWWASSEN

August 10, 1 p.m., 700-block 53rd Street: Bicycle stolen from the secondary school. The bike is royal blue with hand painted pink flowers on the frame valued at $200.

August 11, 5:37 a.m., 1500-block 56th Street: Rear window of a business broken. Complainant determined money was taken and a Buddha statue stolen. Shoe prints and screwdriver taken for identification.

August 11, 4 p.m., 1100-block 56th Street: Complainant found the passenger side sliding door open and the driver's window rolled down in her vehicle parked in garage. A $400 pair of sunglasses stolen. Vehicle may have been left unlocked.

August 13, 11:25 a.m., 1st Avenue & English Bluff Road: Decal stolen from the license plate of a boat trailer parked in front the residence.

August 14, 1:33 a.m., 1400-block Tsawwassen Drive: Police conducted a vehicle stop of a slow moving vehicle. The driver admitted to drinking two beers. As the suspect's breath sample read "Fail" his vehicle was impounded.

August 8, 5:45 a.m., 5200-block Ladner Trunk Road: A report received that unknown person had thrown a plastic sign at a neighbouring business smashing the window. No entry gained to the shop.

August 8, 10 p.m., 4800-block 44B Avenue: Vehicle left unlocked was entered overnight and the registration papers stolen.

August 12, 3:16 p.m., 5100 Block Ladner Trunk Road: Loss prevention officer at a super market held a suspect in custody who had shoplifted $18 worth of cosmetics. Police attended and warned suspect to stay away from the super market. No charges laid at the request of the business.

August 12, 1 a.m., 5300-block Crescent Drive: Complainant reported an unknown male breaking into her neighbour's vehicle. Police attended and found two unlocked vehicles had been entered but nothing appeared to be stolen.

August 12, 8 p.m., 4900-block River Road: Front license plated stolen from vehicle parked in front of residence.

August 13, 2:55 a.m., 5000-block 57th Street: Complainant reported a visitor to his residence had taken his Norco mountain bike without permission and did not return. The complaint requested the suspect be charged with theft of the bike.

August 13, 5 p.m., 6000-block Highway 17: Complainant reported that while his wife's car was parked at the hotel someone had tried to pry open the driver's side window with an unknown object. No entry was gained to the vehicle but damage to the driver's side window is estimated at $2,000.

August 13, 5 p.m., River Road & 62B Street: Complainant reported that her wallets which she had with her or locked in her horse trailer were missing several items. Items missing include several credit and debit cards, and $350 in currency. No suspects or witnesses. Driver's license information entered in CPIC.

August 14, 3:55 a.m., 52A Street & 45th Avenue: The driver of a vehicle on observing the police pulled over to the roadside and jumped from the driver's seat to the passenger seat. Police stopped the vehicle and conducted a roadside investigation. The driver submitted to a Roadside Screening Device and which indicated a "fail". An immediate 90-day driving suspension was given and the vehicle was impounded.

August 14, 11:43 p.m., 6000-block Hwy 17: Complainant left her vehicle unlocked in the hotel parking lot. When she returned she found her purse had been stolen. The pursed contained $25 in cash, driver's license, and credit card.

** FOUND RING**

July 25, 2011 at 12 p.m. A citizen found a lady's ring on the sidewalk outside of the Envision Credit Union - (1300-blk 56th Street) and turned it into the Tsawwassen Community Police Station August 16. To claim this ring please contact the Delta Police 604-946-4411 and quote file 11-18384.
