Editor: I was the unfortunate recipient of the first accident at 6:45 a.m. that caused chaos on Highway 17A last Wednesday, March 12.

Editor: We bemoan $300,000 spent considering the Southlands application and 60,000 truckloads of fill travelling 56th Street. These result in large part from B.C.

Let's hope Port Metro Vancouver doesn't view a consultant's report quite the same way.

Editor: Re: B.C. families have one of the lowest overall tax burdens, letter to the editor, March 5 I appreciate the finance minister's response to my comments on the budget.

I don't pretend to understand the complexities of the trucking industry and its relationship with Lower Mainland ports, but I do know the ongoing dispute has brought to light a couple of issues that have been debated in these parts for years.

Delta's community spirit was inspired by its pioneering families following incorporation in 1879 and extended to the first community centres, which were all built with volunteer labour. Ladners Landing opened its town hall on Elliott Street in 1885.

Editor: The Cross-Border Coalition has put out a call for funds to help fight and stop the installation of the KRPI radio transmitter towers in Point Roberts.
