Rotary supports Reach

The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen recently donated $1,500 to Reach Child and Youth Development Society's teen social program. The program has a cost of $22,000 per year and is designed to help teach social skills to autistic youths.

Legion supports torch run

Ladner Legion executives Steve Henderson and Deborah McMahon recently presented a $500 cheque to Staff Sgt. Debbie McLeod of the Delta police for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics of B.C.

Women's teams unite to host party to benefit Right to Play

The Ladner United and Wildebeests women's soccer teams co-hosted Party for Play, a fundraiser at Sharkey's Seafood Bar and Grille in Ladner last month. The event raised $2,523.50 for the international charity Right to Play.
