Let’s go back again to 1972 when a well-known movie star paid a visit to Delta.

In July of that year, Rory Calhoun stayed at the Town & Country where he had a business meeting.

Calhoun was vice-president of Arizona City Development at the time. His stay was short as he would catch a flight the next day to go back to his home near Los Angeles.

The well-known star at the time said he was impressed with what little he had seen of Delta.

The film and television actor starred in numerous movies including westerns.

He appeared in such films as How to Marry a Millionaire with Betty Grable and River of No Return with Marilyn Monroe.
