As we get back into the swing of fall activities - raking leaves, running kids between soccer and skating, attending to various social events and working hard - we are being told that life is not so rosy elsewhere.

Editor: Re: Delta plugs shortcut through farm area, Sept. 12 I find it very strange that Delta council can call an emergency meeting on traffic congestion when it involves maybe four per cent of the population of Delta.

So, do we really need more houses? If we need more houses, it must only be to accommodate realistically anticipated population growth, not just to engorge developers' pocketbooks, though that might be an unintended consequence.

Editor: I agree with Greg Hoover and Tom Sterling that "it's time for a big change." Let's follow the lead of White Rock and separate.

Editor: While the Tsawwassen Springs layout might appeal to those who don't mind playing golf through subdivisions, I do not think the rates will appeal to everyone.
