Editor: I am writing to seek a united effort to eradicate or reduce bike thefts in the community of Tsawwassen.

Editor: While the Tsawwassen Springs layout might appeal to those who don't mind playing golf through subdivisions, I do not think the rates will appeal to everyone.

Editor: Re: Tunnel congestion opens door to idea of passenger ferry, letter to the Editor, Sept. 5 In answer to ML Burke's letter about a foot passenger ferry to Richmond, I have to say I was happy to see a like-minded individual express that idea.

Editor: Re: Farm storage business scuttled, Aug. 29 To me, it seems really sad that a thriving business, which is obviously meeting needs in our community, has to shut down. I sincerely hope that Bob Robertson will not have to sell his farm.

Surely they can't be that stupid. From oblivion to more than 20 per cent support in public opinion polls in little more than a year, the upstart Conservatives are poised to make significant inroads in next year's provincial election.

This will be my fourth, and last, column on the Spetifore property.

Editor: The work of democracy is never done as stated in the Aug. 22 Optimist, unfortunately the workings of democracy have continued to deteriorate over the past two generations in the Western societies.

Editor: Re: Minister responds to critic of treaty process, letter to the editor, August 31 Minister Mary Polak stated that: "Treaties define aboriginal rights as treaty rights; they do not extinguish them.

Editor: On Sunday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. in Ladner's Memorial Park, five dogs were running loose (off-leash) near the children's playground, waterpark and visitor sidewalk in this designated leash-only park.
