Delta Lions Clubs are hosting several tree chipping events this weekend. The service is provided by donation, with all proceeds going back to causes within the community.

This weekend is the last chance to see the inaugural Festival of Lights at Tsawwassen Springs.

Let's go back in time and check out the Pillars Inn on 56th Street. If you're of a local of a certain vintage, you probably frequented the bar and restaurant. The complex made way for a housing development.

Let's go back 65 years and check out a couple of views of Ladner Trunk Road from St. Stephen's United Church in East Delta. The above photograph consists of a westward view down Trunk Road from the church.

Let's go back to 1894 to see a portrait of Harry Nelson and Lydia Mary Rich (nee Green) and their children Sidney Norris and Edith Emily. Sidney was born in 1893.

Let's do another throwback and check out this Delta Archives photograph of Captain Brewster and the "New Delta" ferry to Steveston leaving Ladner Government Wharf. The Ladner ferry service began 1913.

Let’s go back to 1964 and the Know Your Friendly Ladner Merchants special section that in the Optimist in March of that year. One of the businesses featured was Overwaitea Foods, a grocery store located at 4857 Delta Street.
