Let’s head back in time to early last century and check out the Ladner Hotel located on Wetsham Street, now called 48 th Avenue. In the early 1920s the hotel was destroyed by fire.

It became a lot easier to find a seat at your favorite watering hole in Delta in 2001. Council that year endorsed a number of applications to the provincial Liquor Distribution Branch by local pubs to boost their seating capacity.

Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary in Ladner is seeking volunteers. Volunteers are needed for bird care, education and pet therapy and community events.

Let’s go way back in time to 1883. The above Delta Archives photos show the unloading salmon from a scow, possibly at Wadham’s Cannery in Ladner. By 1899, there were 16 canneries built on the south shore of the Fraser River in Delta alone.

Let's do another throwback and head back to a place that had been an eatery many years on Ladner Trunk Road. The above photo shows the dining room of the Drumstick restaurant in the early 1960s. It was also a drive-in with a pick up window.

Let's go back to 1979 and visit the Sidetrack Pub, located under the Alex Fraser Bridge. The pub was later called Tidewaters Pub & Grill.
