Second annual event set for this Saturday will have international flavour

Caring for a person with dementia from a long distance presents many challenges for Delta residents. "It is important to develop a plan of action," says Anthony Kupferschmidt, the Alzheimer Society of B.C.

Children in primary grades and their parent/ caregiver(s) are invited to drop by their local library on Friday, Oct. 21 for some non-instructional day fun. Special entertainment has been planned that will definitely delight everyone attending.

Spelling enthusiasts who are currently in grades 6 or 7 are invited to showcase their skills by competing in the Fraser Valley Regional Library's Sport of Spelling. Entrants will compete in a spelling bee at their home library.

Acclaimed graphic novelist Scott Chantler will talk about his most recent book, Two Generals, when he visits the Ladner Pioneer Library later this month.
