Delta council recently approved a development permit application for exterior and interior renovations to the retail space currently occupied by Zellers at the Scottsdale Centre in North Delta.

Scotiabank helped raise $9,520 at the Delta Hospital Foundation's Delta Health Golf Classic last month. It is the second consecutive year the bank has participated in the tournament, helping raise almost $14,000 for various programs at the hospital.

Exemplary customer service is a focus for Lawlor Goldsmith Shoppe owner Janet Holmes.

Last week the Optimist hosted its annual Readers' Choice Awards. For the 15th year, this special edition honours and recognizes the businesses and individuals chosen the best in their category by Optimist readers.

Sylvia and Bill So's BAS Appliance Service has been serving the community in appliance repair since 1987, earning Readers' Choice Awards every year since the program began. The Tsawwassen business sells appliances as well as doing repairs.

The team at CampbellCare Plumbing, Heating & Air is proud to keep on winning Readers' Choice awards. "Myself, Scott and all the staff are always really proud and really grateful for the support that we get from the community," says Jane Campbell.

Ichiban Fine Cleaning owner Sung Kim tries hard to serve his customers by doing a good job cleaning their garments but also keeps the environment in mind. He uses very mild soap and "not so strong" chemicals. "That's good for the customer," he says.

The staff at Swim Blue Pools and Hot Tubs is a big reason why the Ladner business continues to rack up Readers' Choice awards.
