Editor: The mayor says transportation, transit and a replacement for the George Massey Tunnel are some of the issues she wants to see resolved for Delta.

Editor: A big thank you to local artists Dennis Walsh and Rod Winning for hosting an art/variety show at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre last Thursday evening.

I have to give a big shout out to the parks department of Delta today. All summer I have watched the containers and hanging baskets grow and bloom in the downtown core of Ladner.

Late spring and early fall are some of the best times to hike in and around the Lower Mainland. Due to an abundance of commitments, we did not get any hiking in this spring. I was bound and determined to change that this fall.

Genetically modified (often referred to genetically engineered) foods have been on store shelves in North America for years, but many North Americans are unaware of this fact.

Editor: Re: Are civic candidates in it for the full term?, letter to the editor, Sept. 24 I applaud Darren Garbutt for his letter of Sept. 24 in which he challenges Delta councillors, current and future, to state their commitment level to the office.

Named for our late MLA, Fred Gingell Park not only honours a great member of our community but also acts as a reminder of battles waged by the public that were both won and lost.

This past Wednesday was National Seniors Day in Canada. If you weren't aware, there is still time to hug a senior in your life.

Editor: Re: Are civic candidates in it for the full term?, letter to the editor, Sept. 24 Mr. Garbutt raises a question regarding the intentions of candidates for the upcoming local elections, asking if we all intend to stay for the full four years.
