By the time an election campaign has come and gone, most voters have had their fill of rhetoric.

Editor: It would appear Bruce McDonald is touting building a new crossing. Well, the North Shore has been touting a new crossing since the 1950s. Empty promises before an election won't convince the I've-heard-that-before voters. Fay Anderson

Editor: The Liberal candidate in Delta South, as we all have observed, has run a one-issue campaign, if what he's been doing can be called that.

Editor: This time around I will be voting in Delta South for a "Change for the Better" but I will not be voting for the NDP. Somewhat counter-intuitively, in Delta South change would be represented by voting for Liberal candidate Bruce McDonald.

Editor: I have attended portions of two all-candidates "debates" now, and I have read countless newspaper articles and listened to (and watched) numerous radio and television discussions and programs.

Editor: I am a farmer from a long line of farmers in this community. I support Bruce McDonald in this election and will be voting for him on May 14.

Editor: It has been very rewarding to be a member of Vicki Huntington's campaign team, to support a person whose judgment I trust and whose ideas and values are in synch with mine.

Editor: I was somewhat confused by recent comments from Port of Vancouver authorities, referring to the plan for massive shipments of coal from Fraser Surrey Docks, that they had no control over what commodity was being shipped from their sites.

Editor: The public debt of B.C. now exceeds $62 billion, and after 12 years in office the B.C. Liberals pretend to care about it if you actually believe Premier Christy Clark's dishonest and tawdry propaganda.
