Editor: Re: New model provides no guarantees, Murphy's Law, Aug. 12 Ted Murphy is correct.

It's always been next to impossible to legislate taste and common sense, but I suspect local politicians are ready to add pride of ownership to that list if they haven't already done so.

Editor: It is an extraordinary measure that I speak to an issue that is yet to complete the course of due process.

Editor: After reading and digesting Century Group's latest proposal for the Southlands, I can see it is trying to divide and conquer.

Editor: Attending the Delta council meeting on Monday to hear the mayor and council's decision on an Arthur Drive comprehensive development was more than an eye-opener.

In recent months a confusing array of statements, all citing the need for higher rates, fees and taxes, has appeared.

Editor: The B.C. Teachers' Federation should apologize to its union members for such a public display of their ignorance of present day world economics and their consequences. Pat Cash

Editor: Some comment is required concerning the latest blurb from Century Group telling me what a great deal it will be to pave over farmland and build houses.

Editor: I would like to thank the Tsawwassen Rotary Club for the new water park in Diefenbaker Park. What a great gift to the families of Tsawwassen. Generations of families will be able to enjoy fun in the sun for years to come. Kim Briscoe
