EVERYDAY SAINTS All Saints Day, is a special day in the church year, and many churches will observe this day on Sunday. For many it is the day we remember all the saints that have died in the Christian faith.

Bittersweet day

The Delta Hospital Foundation received a $4,000 donation from the Tsawwassen Legion to help purchase essential cancer care equipment. The money will help buy an Uretero-Reno Videoscope, a state-of-theart scope used to diagnose kidney cancer.

The 15th annual Stockings For Kids program is now underway.

Family Fright Fest will get Ladner into the Halloween spirit tomorrow evening. The free event, now in its fourth year, will run from 4: 30 to 7: 30 p.m.

Delta Secondary is once again celebrating Diwali. Today is Diwali, which is popularly known as the festival of lights, and students at the Ladner high school are hosting events every day this week to celebrate.

From the First Nations to the early pioneers, Delta's rich history and cultural heritage is housed in the 1912 Tudor-style building on Delta Street in Ladner.
