Delta Secondary is once again celebrating Diwali. Today is Diwali, which is popularly known as the festival of lights, and students at the Ladner high school are hosting events every day this week to celebrate.

From the First Nations to the early pioneers, Delta's rich history and cultural heritage is housed in the 1912 Tudor-style building on Delta Street in Ladner.

The campaign for the civic election, which is exactly a month away, officially got underway following last Friday's deadline for candidates to file nomination papers.

A group of Delta Secondary students is organizing a charity hockey game at the Ladner Leisure Centre Sunday. Anybody can drop in and take part for a minimum donation of $5.
