Thankful heart

The fields are ready for harvest and gleaning. Wool-capped children wander pumpkin mazes. It's Thanksgiving in Canada, a wonderful time to celebrate. Each day we rise to greet the morning and we give thanks for the possibilities that lie ahead.

Bursary for hard working student

Charity hockey game set for Sunday at LLC

A group of Delta Secondary students is organizing a charity hockey game at the Ladner Leisure Centre Sunday. Anybody can drop in and take part for a minimum donation of $5.

Katherine Praski and Reg Boaler took home honours last week as the Ambassadors Toastmasters held their annual fall speech competition.

Entries almost double in Junior Authors contest

Young writers from around the province were invited this summer to send in stories for Delta's fourth annual Junior Authors Short Story Contest. A record 80 entries were received from 16 municipalities ranging from Vancouver Island to the Cariboo.
