Editor: I would like to voice my strong opposition to the proposed relocation of the KRPI radio transmitter towers from Ferndale, Wash., to a location along the border in Point Roberts.

Editor: As a resident of Ladner, my curiosity has been heightened as the South Fraser Perimter Road nears its conclusion.

Tsawwassen - Editor: It's great to live in South Delta. Service clubs play an integral part in our community, undertaking so many volunteer projects to give back. A few times over the past few weeks the residents have shown their appreciation.

You must have heard by now: B.C.'s child poverty rate is a provincial embarrassment. At least so says First Call: B.C. Child and Youth Advocacy Coalition. They say they got their information from Statistics Canada for 2011.

It's been about a decade so I suspect both of us look a little longer in the tooth, but when you talk about change, the place we once shared is the one that has undergone the most profound transformation.

Our unions' members are responsible for mining and transporting metallurgical coal from B.C. to markets overseas.

Kudos to the Vancouver Island community of Metchosin for bringing forth a resolution asking the provincial government to ban plants and animals produced by the use of genetic engineering.

Editor: The debate about the AM radio station antennas being proposed for Point Roberts may be causing some residents of the Tsawwassen area to believe the telephone cables connected to their homes are, in some way, substandard.

Delta council predictably voted 6-1 to support the Southlands development proposal earlier this month following a five-day public hearing and additional time for written submissions.

Editor: Re: Shots exchanged about hunting on Southlands, Nov. 20 I moved back home to Tsawwassen last year after living in the Cariboo for 13 years. I remembered the Southlands debate from years ago, and l wasn't surprised it was still going on.
