I have lived in South Delta for 35 years but only recently found myself as a patient in Delta Hospital for the first time. I spent five days in ER as a result of a post-op complication for surgery done at Royal Columbian Hospital.

Editor: Re: Teen's lemonade stand raises $435 for SPCA, Sept. 19 Brendan Barth sat outside our office day after day, selling lemonade to support the SPCA. We watched him performing this volunteer service and marvelled at his community spirit.

Editor: This is likely preaching to the converted, but I am continually amazed how many cars drive through a crosswalk while someone is crossing or waiting to cross.
