The moral high ground is proving to be one expensive piece of real estate.

Editor: Two recent items in the Optimist can signal small but significant shifts towards renewal for Tsawwassen and Delta. First, the excellent editorial by Ted Murphy on Feb. 8 heralds natural renewal for heath of community.

I hated parent-teacher conferences when I was a kid. I'd always dread when my parents returned home with the inevitable 'he's not applying himself' mantra.

Editor: I am writing in regard to the letters in the Optimist from Boundary Bay residents who are NIMBYs. My family moved to Boundary Bay in the 1940s when it was truly a place of bliss and remained so for many years, growing slowly.

Call it the Vicki Effect. Up until the most recent provincial election, whenever a candidate was referred to as an independent, it was more than likely the term "fringe" could have been used as a synonym.
