Editor: Re: Respect, don't destroy, the local wildlife, letter to the editor, Dec. 30 How utterly repulsed I was to learn of the multiple "hunters" trolling the South Arm of the Fraser River.

Editor: Re: Respect, don't destroy, the local wildlife, letter to the editor, Dec. 30 I would like to point out that waterfowl in the delta have been a problem to the farmers' crops and the foreshore for quite a while now.

It might not be readily apparent to look at me, but I'm a bit of a mall expert.

I have mixed feelings as the end of the Christmas break and the year come to an end. I will miss wearing slippers for a good portion of the day and I will miss hangin' with the family.

Editor: Re: Deltaport Way crossing made easier with $9M overpass, Dec. 21 Recently an overpass at 41B and the Deltaport causeway was completed and with great fanfare.

Editor: I have lived in Tsawwassen for the past 20 years and I love the Delta area. It is especially beautiful right now with the birds amongst us in Boundary Bay, in particular, the snowy owls.

Editor: Over the past 25 years while living in Tsawwassen, I have seen a lot of road kill on Highway 17. The saddest sight was a squashed mother duck next to the median, surrounded by a bunch of chicks not knowing what to do next.

It seemed like a great idea at the time. When our son was born, for his first Christmas we got him a huge stocking. We had a lot of fun putting him in it and taking pictures.
